Originally from the North of England, from Irish and Scottish Ancestry, I was lucky enough to live in beautiful New Zealand (Aotearoa), which has become the home of my soul.
I currently reside in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Classically trained at Rochdale Art College in England, I then went on to work extensively in the theatre fashion design industries. I now choose to follow my own creative path, and allow my creativity to unfurl as it must.
When painting, I mainly work in oils on large canvasses; I am also a photographer and am inspired by the natural beauty, colour and spirituality that surrounds us all in this incredible land.
I love the rich arts, the proud history, and the vibrant culture that surrounds me, and indeed, am intrigued by the connections of all peoples throughout the world, and how our histories and legends combine to illuminate our path.
Through my work, I explore the relationships we all share, and celebrate the similarities and differences within our varied cultures. Rejoicing in life itself for the wondrous gift that it is.
Thank you for taking the time to view my works, and I hope they bring you as much joy as they bring me to create them.
“Just don’t give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don’t think you can go wrong’.
(Ella Fitzgerald)
